In fact Dr. Bridger, the West Houston Cosmetic Dentist, after graduating from the University of Texas Dental Branch in Houston, personally has taken over 1000 hours of CE and holds the prestigious rank of Fellow of the Academy of General Dentistry, for his constant study of all areas of dentistry, including cosmetic, implant, restorative, root canal, surgery, jaw joint disorders, teeth whitening, teeth bleaching, general and family dentistry. He is a fully accredited member of the Houston, Texas, and American Dental Associations.
Dental Patient Comfort is Our #1 Goal
We are totally committed to your comfort and to your having a wonderful experience while in our dental office. We listen to you, your desires, and your fears. Because we communicate well, accept patients where they are, are so understanding and are non-judgmental, we offer a safe, welcoming dental experience, where you will feel at home at the office of Dr. John Bridger, the West Houston Implant Dentist. We listen to YOUR wants, then custom-design your treatment to fulfill YOUR goals, at the speed YOU desire.
Afraid of Going to the Dentist? Try our Sedation or Sleep Dentistry...
To make your treatment the most comfortable, we offer headphones. You can use our music or bring you own. We use a gentle anesthesia technique where your gum is pre-numbed with a topical anesthetic followed by a slow painless injection of the newest, strongest, fastest acting numbing medicine. All the time our dental assistant is gently massaging your forehead to relax you. Most of our patients love our free nitrous oxide (relaxation gas), which makes you drowsy, where you don't perceive any discomfort, but where you can drive after the nosepiece is removed.
If you are more scared or need longer or more difficult procedures, we offer Sedation (Sleep) Dentistry, where you are almost asleep and perceive and remember almost nothing of the visit. If you need more, our anesthesiologist can give you IV Sedation, where you really sleep and remember nothing.
Using Dental Technology to Save You Time and Give You Better Results
We use the latest equipment and newest dental technology, including computers in each room connected to our server so we and you can look at your Digital Graphical Chart with teeth pictures showing what existing treatments you have had and those that you need. As your health and medications change, we at John N. Bridger, D.D.S., the West Houston General Dentist, update your medical history on your digital chart, which then summarizes your special needs and allergies and notifies us on the screen so your visits with us are the safest possible. You and we can see your digital X-rays and photos on the screen, make appointments, write digital prescriptions, and perform financial arrangements for your dental procedures in each room to help your visit be as fast and efficient as possible. Your time is important to us.
Laser Bonding, Laser Cavity Detention, and ZOOM! One Hour Teeth Whitening
We use laser bonding, laser cavity detection, and laser fast ZOOM! One Hour Teeth Whitening on all porcelain cosmetic crowns and porcelain veneers. We use the newest Zirconia all porcelain crowns for those patients who desire the most cosmetic, natural looking restorations, yet need extra strength because they have a strong bite. We have the newest Digital X-rays, which are the safest with dramatically reduced radiation and much improved detail. We can blow up any portion of the x-ray for diagnosis or to show you details. Because digital X-rays are instantaneous, patient treatment time is quite reduced.
Reduce Damage to Your Teeth and Gums with Early Detection of Cracks, Decay, Gum Problems, and Tumors
We employ high definition digital and intra-oral video photography, which we use for early detection of cracks, decay, gum problems, and suspected tumors, which we can show you on a large screen. These really aid us and you in diagnosing and determining a treatment plan. We offer Smile Design where we ask you what you desire for your smile. Then we take a digital photo of your smile, which is loaded into one of our computers. We use the sophisticated Kodak Dental Imaging program that allows us to change your smile to the smile that you desire, so you can see what you will look like on the screen or a print BEFORE the treatment is begun.
Next we take impressions of your teeth and send these models and email the imaged photos to our dental laboratory artists, who wax the teeth to make a 3-dimensional representation of your desired smile. You then approve these. When we prepare your teeth for their final restorations, we make provisional restorations from the waxed models so you can see in your own mouth how your smile will look. In a week you either approve these provisionals or we alter them until they are what you want. Then we send new digital photos and models of your approved provisional restorations to our master dental lab artists for your cosmetic makeover, who fabricate exactly the smile you desire. Finally, we bond your restorations on your teeth and you leave delighted with your nice, new smile, which will make you smile more often, will enhance your self confidence and will fortify your inter-personal strength.
