Doing Dentistry in Phases
- Treat any of your toothaches, pains, and/or infections by root canals or extractions.
- Get a complete exam, x-rays, and consultation with your dentist about treatment options, priorities, phases, and the order of treatment.
- By your hygienist get an initial professional prophylaxis (cleaning) or full mouth debridement (FMD), if your teeth have extra heavy deposits.
- Treat any bad teeth with root canals or extractions and bone grafts.
- Treat any periodontal (gum) disease with non-surgical root planing and localized Arestin antibiotic therapy. This is done by your hygienist, usually after your dentist anesthetizes the gums.
- Restore your teeth with extensive breakdown from decay with build-up fillings and crowns. Repair your lesser decayed teeth will resin fillings. Replace your missing teeth. in phases by treating the entire mouth, half of the mouth, a fourth of the mouth, or by a few teeth at a time.
